A source reported that on May 28, 1973, about 400 Khmer Rebel Armed forces in Battalion 290, under the command of comrade Suong and Chov, and Battalion 311, under the command of comrade Chhen, departed from Region 31 and set up shelters in Northern Sang Vas Sel pagoda at VU 973-400, Cheung Prey district, Kampong Cham Province. They were digging trenches for protection. the source added that on May 27, 1973, the enemies came to gather local people in Me Pring village at VU 937-281 and Tang Srei village at VU 941-284. They also killed many people.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៨ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ប្រមាណ១០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ធុននៅក្នុងកងវរសេនា តូចលេខ២៩០ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះមិត្ដ សួង និង ចូវ ចម្រុះជា មួយកងវរសេនាតូចលេខ៣១១ក្រោមបញ្ជាកាឈ្មោះ មិត្ដឈិន បាន ចេញពីតំបន់លេខ៣១ចូលមកតាំងជម្រកនៅខាងជើងវត្ដសង្វះសិល ត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ៩៧៣-៤០០ ក្នុងស្រុកជើងព្រៃ «កំពង់ចាម»។ ពិសេសខ្មាំងកំពង់រៀបចំធ្វើលេណដ្ឋានមាំៗសំរាប់ការពារខ្លួន។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែម ថាកាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៧ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មាំងបានចូល មកកៀរអ្នកស្រុក ក្នុងភូមិមេព្រីងត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៣៧-២៨១ ភូមិតាំងស្រីត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៤១-២៨៤ អស់ជាច្រើនគ្រួសារ និងកាប់សម្លាប់ជាច្រើននាក់ទៀត។
