Chum Thy served khmer communist as a commander in gang 2, company 203, battalion 715, positioned in Stung Trang(ៈ63), Kampong Cham province. This battalion 715, which was located in point WU486-360, had duty to ambush the national army, situated in the West of Mount Bross and Srey. Yorn was a commander in battalion 715, which comprised 400 soldiers, most of who were 18 to 25 year, equipped with varrous weapons, made in USA, wherease bullets were not so plenty. Some of food was supported by Angkar khmer communist, and some was solicited from people. Enemy made a propaganda to people that this war was the war for the sack of the people, so as to eliminate the feudalism, leadership class, reactionary capitalism for people to come to power, and infront of the soldiers they said that's this revolution was to carry out communist regime.
ជុំ ធី ចូលបម្រើខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដ មានតួនាទីជាមេបញ្ជាការក្រុមទី២ កងអនុសេនាធំ២០៣ កងវរសេនាតូច៧១៥ ប្រចាំស្រុកស្ទឹងត្រង់ (លេខ៦៣) ខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។ កងឯកភាពនេះមានទីតាំងត្រង់ចំណុច (ឌឹបបាយយូ៤៨៦-៣៦០) មានភារៈកិច្ចត្រៀមស្ទាក់វាយកងទ័ព ជាតិនៅខាងជើងភ្នំប្រុស-ស្រី។ កងវរសេនាតូច៧១៥នេះ មេបពា្ជ ការឈ្មោះ យ៉ន មានទ័ពចំនួន៤០០នាក់ ភាគច្រើនជាយុទ្ធជនមាន អាយុចាប់ពី១៨ឆ្នាំ ដល់២៥ឆ្នាំ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ធុន ដែល ផលិតនៅអាមេរិក ឯគ្រាប់ពុំសូវសំបូរទេ។ ចំពោះស្បៀងអាហារ គឺពួកវាបានមកពីរ៉ៃអង្គាសពីប្រជាជន និងបានមកពីការឧបត្ថម្ភពីអង្គការ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដ។ ពួកខ្មាំងកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានឃោសនាប្រាប់ប្រជាជនថា សង្គ្រាមនេះជាសង្គ្រាមប្រជាជន ដើម្បីរំលំរបបសក្ដិភូមិ និងវណ្ណៈ កាន់អំណាចប្រតិកិរិយា ដើម្បីប្រជាជនឡើងជាម្ចាស់អំណាច។ តែ ចំពោះកងទ័ពពួកវាឃោសនាថាៈ ធ្វើបដិវត្ដដើម្បីប្រកាន់យករបប កុម្មុយនិស្ដ។
