Killing
After returning from Kampong Thom provincial town, my family was separated. Shortly afterwards, Chhiek, a base person, captured my father and tied him up. He then loaded my father onto his cart and drove away. At this time, I saw the cart but was not sure whether my father was on the cart or not. After liberation in 79, my family reunited and, shortly after our reunion, we met our father’s killer, who is now living in Damreislap village, Damrei Slap commune. The perpetrator confessed that he had actually arrested and killed my father in Damreislap village. At the time, he had received a list from Samban, who ordered Kin to arrest and kill my father because of the accusation that he was a Lon Nol soldier. Besides this killing, I did not endure any other difficulties because I was young. |
