Veron Hung stated in his letter that despite the fact that the electoral period was marked by widespread violations of basic human rights and perpetrated with utter impunity, the Cambodian people demonstrated their strong determination to pursue a democratic path.
វឺរ៉ន បានសរសេរនៅក្នុងសំបុត្ររបស់លោកថា បើទោះបីជាការ ពិតដែល ថា រយៈពេលនៃការបោះឆ្នោត គឺបន្សល់នូវស្លាកស្នាមដោយការរំលោភបំពានទៅលើសិទិ្ធមនុស្សជាមូលដ្ឋាន និង ផ្ដន្ទាទោសជានិទណ្ឌភាពទាំងស្រុង ហើយ ប្រជាជនកម្ពុជាបានបេ្ដជ្ញាយ៉ាងខ្លាំងក្លា ដើម្បីស្វែងរកនូវគន្លង ប្រជាធិបតេយ្យ។
