Heavy fighting broke out southeast of Phnom Penh. The government called in troops from the provinces to defend the capital at all costs. Communist-led Khmer Rouge troops travelling in dozens of sampan made their way up the Mekong river.
សមរភូមិយ៉ាងខ្លាំងខ្លា បានផ្ទុះឡើងនៅប៉ែកខាងអាគេ្នយ៍នៃទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។ រដ្ឋាភិបាលបានបព្ជាកងទ័ពមកពីបណ្ដាខេត្ដនានា មកការពាររាជធានីតាមផ្នែកផេ្សងៗគ្នា។ កងទ័ពខ្មែរក្រហមដែលដឹកនាំដោយបក្សកុម្មុយនិស្ដ បានចលនាកងទ័ពរាប់សិបនាក់។
