Prince Sihanouk, the exiled Cambodian leader, exclaimed that his people are very opportunistic as he celebrated the Khmer Rouge victory in Peking. Sihanouk told newsman that he expected to return to Cambodia as titular chief of state within a month.
សមេ្ដចនរោត្ដម សីហនុ ដែលជាប្រមុខដឹកនាំកម្ពុជាដែលនិរទេសខ្លួនចេញ មានប្រសាសន៍ថា ប្រជាជនរបស់ទ្រង់ទទួលបានឱកាសល្អបំផុតដោយសារទ្រង់ធ្វើពិធីអបអរចំពោះជ័យជម្នះរបស់ដែរខ្មែរក្រហមនៅប៉េកាំង។ សីហនុ បានប្រាប់ទៅអ្នកកាសែតថាទ្រង់ជឿជាក់ថានឹងត្រឡប់ចូលកម្ពុជាវិញក្នុងនាមជាប្រមុខរដ្ឋក្នុងរយៈពេលមួយខែទៀត។
