The singsong of Buddhist prayers wafted from the pagoda, and across the road teachers sat at a festive meal to mark the opening of a new school. Still hungry, dressed in rags and worried about the future, The people of this village 15 miles east of Phnom Penh were celebrating a milestone on the long road back to normality.
សមេ្លងសូរសព្ទធម៌របស់ពុទ្ធសាសនិកបានបង្ហើរចេញពីវត្ដអារ៉ាមព្រមទាំងគ្រូបង្រៀនទូទៅជាច្រើននាក់បានរៀបចំនូវពិធីពិសារអាហារដ៏មានភាពអធិកអធម មួយសម្រាប់បើឱ្យដំណើរការនូវសាលារៀនថ្មី ។ ទោះបីមានភាព អត់ឃ្លានស្លៀកពាក់ខោអាវចាស់ៗ និងពេលខ្លះក៏ព្រួយបារម្ភអំពីអនាគត របស់ខ្លួនក៏ដោយ ក៏ប្រជាជនដែលរស់នៅក្នុងភូមិដែលមានចម្ងាយ ១៥ម៉ែត្រពីភាគខាងកើតនៃទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញនៅតែបន្ដប្រារឰពិធីដែលជាព្រឹត្ដការណ៍សំខាន់នៅលើបណ្ដោយផ្លូវនោះនឹងហាក់ត្រឡប់មករកភាពធម្មតាវិញ។
