The border war between Cambodia and Vietnam had become deeper and more intractable. As the war of words between the two countries was joined by Peking and Moscow blaming each other for the conflict, Vietnam gave its strongest warning to Cambodia that Vietname would stop sent top military strategist to the troubled border.
សង្គ្រាមនៅតាមព្រំដែនរវាងកម្ពុជា និង វៀតណាម មានភាពកាន់តែជ្រៅទៅៗ និងទៅកាន់តឹងរ៉ឹងបំផុត។ សង្គ្រាមនៃពាក្យសម្ដីរវាងប្រទេសទាំងពីរគឺត្រូវបានរួមដោយប៉េកាំង និង ម៉ូស្កូល (ក្រុង) រិះគន់គ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកទាក់ទងទៅនឹងការប្រយុទ្ធគ្នានេះ។ វៀតណាមបានផ្ដល់នូវការព្រមានយ៉ាងចាស់ដៃដល់ភាគីកម្ពុជាដែលថាវៀតណាមគួរតែបញ្ឈប់បព្ជូានកំពូលយុទ្ធសាស្ដ្រយោធាមកបង្កបព្ហាទៅតាមព្រំដែន។
