Aom Rem is PTSD victim. Rem got married to Hem Phan in 1978. She has 3 children, but two of them died. Her father called Aom In died in 1979. Her mother also died. Rem has 6 siblings, but 3 of them died in the children unit.In the Khmer Rouge regime, she was lacking of food, water, medical care, and shelter. She was in combat situation. She was brainwashed. She was forced to separate from her family members. She was in a situation where her life was in danger. She has suffocated from 1986 until now. She lost consciousness for five minutes.Recently, she has recurrent thoughts of the most hurtful events. She easily feels jumpy. She has difficulty in concentrating. She is avoiding activities that remind her of the traumatic events. She is sudden emotional when reminded of the most hurtful events. She feels as if she is going crazy. She feels that she is the only one who suffered the events. She find outs or being told by other people that she has done something that she cannot remember.
អោម រ៉ែមមានជំងឺបាក់ស្បាត។ រ៉ែមរៀបការជាមួយហែម ផននៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៨។ គាត់មានកូន៣នាក់ ប៉ុនែ្ដស្លាប់អស់ពីរនាក់។ ឪពុកឈ្មោះអោម អ៊ិនស្លាប់នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៩។ ម្ដាយក៏ស្លាប់ដែរ។ រ៉ែមមានបងប្អូន៦នាក់ ប៉ុនែ្ដបីនាក់ស្លាប់នៅក្នុងកងកុមារ។ នៅសម័យខែ្មរក្រហម គាត់ខ្វះខាតម្ហូបអាហារ ទឹក ថ្នាំពេទ្យ និងជម្រកស្នាក់នៅ។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ប្រយុទ្ធតស៊ូនៅសមរភូមិ។ គាត់ត្រូវគេអប់រំណែនាំអោយផ្លាស់បុរគំនិត។ គាត់ត្រូវគេបំបែកចេញពីសមាជិកគ្រួសារដោយបង្ខំ។ គាត់ជួបស្ធានការណ៍មួយដែលធើ្វអោយជីវិតគាត់រងគ្រោះថ្នាក់។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ថប់ដង្ហើមពីឆ្នាំ១៩៨៦រហូតមកដល់បច្ចុប្បន្ន។ គាត់ធ្លាប់សន្លប់បាត់បង់ស្មារតីរយៈពេល៥នាទី។ បច្ចុប្បន្នគាត់ចេះតែធើ្វឱ្យនឹកឃើញជារឿយៗដល់ព្រឹត្ដការណ៍គួរអោយឈឺចាប់របស់គាត់។ គាត់គិតថាហាក់ដូចជាព្រឹត្ដការណ៍ទាំងនោះកំពុងតែកើតមានឡើង។ គាត់ឆាប់ភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល។ គាត់ពិបាកប្រមូលអារម្មណ៍គិតទៅលើអ្វីមួយ។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងនូវសកម្មភាពដែលធើ្វឱ្យគាត់នឹកដល់ព្រឹត្ដការណ៍ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដរបស់គាត់។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងមិនឱ្យគិតអំពីព្រឹត្ដការណ៍ដ៏ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដរបស់គាត់។ គាត់បណ្ដាលអោយមានប្រតិកម្មក្នុងខ្លួនពេលនឹកឃើញដល់ព្រឹត្ដការណ៍គួរអោយឈឺចាប់បំផុតរបស់គាត់។ គាត់គិតថាគាត់ហាក់ទៅជាឆ្កួត។ គាត់គិតថាមានតែគាត់ម្នាក់គត់ទទួលការឈឺចាប់ទាំងនេះ។ គាត់បានដឹងឬអ្នកដទៃួប្រាប់គាត់ថាគាត់បានធើ្វអី្វមួយដែលគាត់នឹកពុំឃើញសោះ។
