The non-communist Khmer People's National Liberation Front had shifted to a guerrilla warfare strategy in its battles against Vietnamese troops in Cambodia. During the first year of new strategy, it faced many difficulties.
រណសិរ្សរំដោះប្រជាពលរដ្ឋខ្មែរមិនមែនកម្មុយនិស្ដបានប្ដូរនូវយុទ្ធសាស្ដ្រ សង្គ្រាមរបស់កងឈ្លបនៅក្នុងចម្បាំងដែលប្រឆាំងទៅនឹងកងទ័ពវៀតណាម ដែលមាននៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ ក្នុងរយៈពេលឆ្នាំដំបូងនៃការប្រើនូវយុទ្ធ សាស្ដ្រថ្មីនេះមានការជួបនូវផលវិបាកជាច្រើនឥតគណនា។
