The government imposed a 24-hour curfew starting at noon and appealed to the city's two million people to remain calm. Not only were villagers and refugees marching on the city but a number of soldiers were also leaving their posts and fleeing with them.
រដ្ឋាភិបាលកំណត់បម្រាមគោចរ២៤ម៉ោងចាប់ផ្ដើមនៅថ្ងៃត្រង់ និងអំពាវនាវដល់ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ២លាននាក់ ដើម្បីរក្សាភាពស្ងប់ស្ងាត់។ មិនមែនតែអ្នកភូមិ និង ជនភៀសខ្លួនដែលរស់នៅតាមដោយក្រុងនោះទេ ប៉ុន្ដែយោធាមួយចំនួនបានរត់ចោលប៉ុស្ដិ៍ការពារ និង រត់ទៅជាមួយប្រជាជនដែរ។
