The new Khmer Rouge Government of Cambodia had agreed to let 610 foreigners confined in the French Embassy in Phnom Penh and leave the country. The Khmer Rouge had refused to allow a French military plane standing by in Thailand evacuate the refugees.
រដ្ឋាភិបាលខ្មែរក្រហមនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា បានយល់ព្រមដោះលែងជនបរទេសចំនួន៦១០ នាក់ ដែលត្រូវនៅសុំជ្រកក្នុងស្ថានទូតបារាំងនៅឯទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ និងអនុព្ញាតឱ្យចាកចេញពីប្រទេស។ ខ្មែរក្រហម បានបដិសេធមិនអនុព្ញាតឱ្យយន្ដហោះយោធារបស់បារាំងដែលកំពុងប្រចាំការនៅឯប្រទេសថៃ ធ្វើការជម្លៀសជនភៀសខ្លួននោះទេ។
