The pitifully few Cambodians who managed to flee across the border into neighboring Thailand were being rewarded with even more misery and torment. They were cast into refugee compounds where they were beaten, raped and sometimes murdered.
ប្រជាជនកម"ុជាចំនួនតិចតួចដ៏គួរឱ្យអាណិត ដែលបានធ្វើការភៀសខ្លួនឆ្លងផុតព្រំដែនមកាន់ប្រទសថៃជាប្រទេសជិតខាង ត្រូវបានទទួលដោយ ទុក្ខវេទនា និងទារុណកម្មបន្ថែមពីលើទៀត។ ពួកគេត្រូវបបានគេទាត់ចោលនៅជម្រុំជនភៀសខ្លួន ដែលនៅទីនោះពួកគេត្រូវបានគេវាយដំចាប់រំលោភ និងជួនកាលត្រូវបានគេសម្លាប់។
