The new communist regime in Cambodia had begun a massive bloodbath. A US official said thousands of people had been executed. The first victims of the bloodbath were said to be officers of the Cambodian army and some government officials of the former regime.
របបកុម្មុយនិស្ដថ្មីនៅកម្ពុជាបានខ្លាយជាការបង្ហូរឈាមដ៏ធ្ងន់ធ្ងរបំផុត។ មន្ដ្រីសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមួយរូបបាននិយាយថាមនុស្សរាប់ពាន់នាក់ត្រូវបានសម្លាប់។ ជនរងគ្រោះដោយសារតែការបង្ហូរឈាមនេះត្រូវបានក្លាយជាមន្ដ្រីនៃកងទ័ពកម្ពុជា ខ្លះទៀតក្លាយជាមន្ដ្រីនៃអតីតរដ្ឋាភិបាល។
