Cambodian communists were trying to eradicate not a race but a culture. There had been nobody counts of how many Cambodians had died from mistreatment and execution. Competent sources had offered estimates ranging from 1.8 million to 2.3 million.
របបកុម្មុយនិសÒកំពុងព��មលុបបំបាត់មិនត្រឹមតែពូជសាសន៍ប៉ុណ្ណោះទេប៉ុនែÒថែមទាំងវប្បធម៌ផងដែរ។ គ្មាននរណាអាធ្វើការរាប់ចំនួនដឹងពីប្រជាជនកម"ុជាដែលបានស្លាប់ដោយកាធ្វើទុក្ខទោស និងប្រហារជីវិតឡើយ។ ប្រភពដែលអាចទុកចិតÒបាន បានធ្វើកាប៉ាន់ស្មានថាមានចំនួនពី ១.៨លាន ទៅ ២.៣លាននាក់។
