Laos's stategic location, coupled with its chaotic terrain, ethnic complexity and economic backwardness, had convinced Laos leaders that the country's options were either chaos or dependence on a more powerful ally.
ភូមិសាស្ដ្រនៃយុទ្ធសាស្ដ្ររបស់ប្រទេសឡាវត្រូវបានគូសផ្គងជាមួយនឹងភូមិ សាស្ដ្រដែលមានភាពច្របូកច្របល់ មានជនជាតិភាគតិចជាច្រើនដែលនៅ លាយឡំគ្នា ហើយសេដ្ឋកិច្ចមានភាពអន់ថយខ្លាំង ដោយតែភូមិសាស្ដ្រ បែបនឹងហើយទើបធ្វើឱ្យមេដឹកនាំឡាវមានជំនឿជឿជាក់ថាជម្រើសរបស់ ប្រទេសខ្លួននោះគឺជាភាពវឹកវររឺជាការពឹងពាក់ទៅលើសម្ព័ន្ធដែលមហា អំណាច។
