Ponchaud had published a book that was serious and worth reading. It gave a clear account of what refugees had reported to him. Ponchaud cited a Cambodian report that 200,000 people were killed in American bombing.
ផន ឆោដ បានចេញសៀវភៅមួយក្បាលបង្ហាញពីភាពវឹកវរ និង តម្លៃការអាន។ វាបានបព្ជាក់ពីរឿងជនភៀសខ្លួនមួយបានរាយការណ៍មកលោក ឆោដ។ ផន ឆោដ បានដក់ស្រង់របាយការណ៍មួយពីប្រទេសកម្ពុជាដែលនិយាយថា មានប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា ២០០,០០០នាក់ ត្រូវបានស្លាប់ក្នុងប្រតិបត្ដិការទម្លាក់គ្រាប់បែកពីសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក។
