Border tensions flashed up into the first major battle between the armies of the militantly anti-communist Government in Bangkok and the spartom communists in Phnom Penh. Seven Thais were killed and an unknown number of casualties were suffered by the Khmers.
ភាពតានតឹងនៅតាមបណ្ដោយព្រំដែនបានប៉ះទង្គិចគ្នាជាសមរភូមិដំបូង រវាងកងកម្លាំងយោធា រដ្ឋាភិបាលប្រឆាំងនឹងកុម្មុយនិស្ដ ក្នុងក្រុងបាងកក និង កុម្មុយនិស្ដក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។ ជនជាតិថៃ ៧នាក់ត្រូវបានសម្លាប់ចោល និង មិនដឹងពីចំនួនអ្នករងរបួស ដោយខ្មែរ។
