Gen. En Sam ordered his command to surrender to the KR after the government collapsed on April 17, 1975. Then he met the Khmer Rouge as they entered Siem Reap city. He was arrested immediately and taken to Kampong Kdei in Eastern Siem Reap province for interrogation.
នាយឧតÒមសេនីយ៍ញ ឯម សាន បានបញ្ជាឱ្យធ្វើកាចុះចាញ់ខ្មែរក្រហមក្រោយពេលពលរដ្ឋាភិបាលដួលរលំនៅថ្ងៃទី១៧ មេសា ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៥។ បន្ទាប់មកទៀត គាត់បានជួបនឹងខ្មែរក្រហមពេលដែលពួកគេបានចូលមកទីក្រុងសៀមរាប។ គាត់ត្រូវបានចាប់ខ្លួនភ្លាមៗ និងយកទៅកាន់កំពង់កÒី នៅភាគខាងកើតខេតÒសៀមរាបសម្រាប់ការសួរសម្លើយ។
