UNTAC in conjunction with the UNHCR was responsible for repatriating Cambodia to their native land. Before UNTAC began operations in March 1992, there were some 370,000 Cambodians living in seven camps along the border with Thailand.
មុនពេលដែលអ៊ុន តាក់ បានកើតឡើងនៅខែមិនា ១៩៩២ ប្រជាជន កម្ពុជា ប្រមាណ ៣៧០០០០ បានរស់នៅនៅក្នុងជំរំប្រាំពីរ នៅតាម ព្រំដែនថៃ, អស់រយៈពេលជាយូរ។ ទើប អ៊ុន តាក់ បានចាប់ដៃគ្នា ជាមួយនឹងឧត្ដមស្នង ការជាន់ខ្ពស់នៃអង្គការ សហប្រជាជាតិ ទទួលបន្ទុក ជនភៀសខ្លួន ដើម្បីទទួលខុសត្រូវទៅលើការវិលត្រឡប់របស់ប្រជាជន មកនៅទឹកដីកំណើតរបស់ពួគគេ។
