Pol Pot's ideology was the same as Mao. They worshiped the role of the peasant, the nature of peasants and the poorer the more radical and progressive. They believed in the superiority of the Khmer Rouge.
មនោគមន៍វិជ្ជា ប៉ុល ពត គឺមានលក្ខណៈដូចទៅនឹងមនោគមន៍ ម៉ៅ របស់ប្រទេសចិន។ ប៉ុល ពត ឱ្យតម្លៃដល់តួនាទីរបស់កសិករ ភាពជាកសិករ និងជនក្រីក្រដោយមូលវិវដ្ដ ឱ្យមានភាពរីកចម្រើនទៅមុខ ប៉ុល ពត ក៏មានជំនឿថា ខ្មែរក្រហមអាចនឹងធ្វើឱ្យប្រសើរឡើង។
