McGovern was very concerned about the inhuman acts in Cambodia, and he blocked anti-Cambodian action. There were some reactions against him. Some people think that he was leading them to the hopeless, useless and wasteful war.
ម៉ាកហ្គោវ៉ឺន ពិតជាមានការព្រួយបារម្មណ៍ជាខ្លាំងចំពោះអំពោះមនុស្សធម៌នៅកម"ុជាហើយគាត់បានរារាំងចំណាត់ការប្រឆាំងនឹងកម"ុជា។ មានប្រតិកមមមួយចំនួនដែលប្រឆាំងនឹងគាត់។ មនុស្សមួយចំនួនគិតថាគាត់កំពុងដឹងនាំពួគេទៅកាន់សង្គ្រាមដែលគ្មានសង្ឃឹម គ្មានបានកា និងខ្ជះខ្ជាយ។
