Laura Hill conducted a fieldwork at site 2, a Cambodian refugee camp where he was to teach English for a year. Site II was the evecuation area for refugees from five separate camps that were driven from Cambodia in 1984-1985 by fierce Vietnamese artillery attacks.
ឡូរ៉ា ហៀល បានដឹកនាំឱ្យមានការស្រាវជ្រាវនៅជំរំសាយធូ ដែលជាជំរំនៃ ជនភៀសខ្លួនកម្ពុជា ហើយជាកន្លែងដែលលោកធ្លាប់បង្រៀនភាសាអង់គេ្លស នៅទីនោះអស់រយៈពេលមួយឆ្នាំ សាយធូ គឺជាកន្លែងជម្លៀសសម្រាប់ជន ភៀសខ្លួនមកពី៥ជំរំផេ្សងគ្នា ដែលបណេ្ដញចេញពីកម្ពុជានៅឆ្នាំ១៩៨៤-១៩៨៥ ដោយការវាយប្រហារដ៏សាហាវរបស់កាំភ្លើងធំវៀតណាម។
