Fleeing from famine and war, an estimated 560,000 homeless Cambodians were massed along their country's ill-defined western border with Thailand. Thai military command announced that the country would move most of the refugees from insecure frontier areas and established huge camp for them.
ការចាកចេញពីភាពស្រែកឃ្លានអត់អាហារ និង សង្គ្រាម មានប្រជាជនកម្ពុជាប្រមាណជា ៥៦០,០០០ នាក់ដែលគ្មានជម្រករស់នៅបានប្រមូលផ្ដុំគ្នានៅប៉ែកខាងលិចប្រទេសជាប់នឹងប្រទេសថៃ។មេបព្ជាការយោធាថៃបានប្រកាសថា ខ្លួននឹងចលនាជនភៀសខ្លួនជាច្រើនពីតំបន់មិនមានសុវត្ថិភាពទៅកាន់តំបន់មានសុវត្ថិភាព និងបង្កើតជាជំរុំធំៗ សម្រាប់ជនភៀសខ្លួនកម្ពុជាទាំងនេះ។
