Continuing the trend started in 1983, security throughout the country generally deteriorated in the first half of 1984. Anti-Vietnamese resistance forces of the coalition government, particularly those of Khmer Rouge, staged hit and run guerrilla raids in widely scattered locations.
ការបន្ដទិន្នាការនេះបានចាប់ផ្ដើមនៅឆ្នំា១៩៨៣ សន្ដិសុខពេញប្រទេសជាទូទៅបានដួលរលំនៅក្នុងពាក់កណ្ដាលឆ្នាំ១៩៨៤។ ក្រុមអ្នកតស៊ូប្រឆាំងនឹងវៀតណាមបានព្រួតដៃគ្នាក្នុងការបង្ខំរដ្ឋាភិបាលជាពិសេសខ្មែរក្រហមដោយបង្កើតការប៉ះទង្គិច និងរត់ការវាយឆ្មក់ទ័ពឈ្លបដែលនៅតំបន់ដាច់ស្រយាល។
