Or Chorn was born in the North of Battambang. He lived with his aunt in Battambang. When Khmer Rouge took over Battambang, he and his aunt were forced to evacauate to Don Teo village.He was brought to the childern's ophanage.
អរ ចន កើតនៅភាគខាងជើងខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង ។ គាត់រស់នៅជាមួយ អ៊ំ នៅក្នុងខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង។ ចន និងម្ដាយមីងត្រូវបានបង្ខ្ពឱ្យជម្លៀសទៅភូមិដូន កែវ។ ចន ត្រូវបាននាំយកដាក់នៅក្នុងកេ្មងកំព្រា(កុមារ) ។
