Scholars uniformly agree that an intention to destroy only part of a national group is sufficient to prove genocide. The acts aimed not at the total but merely at the partial extermination of a protected group fall under the scape of article II.
អ្នកប្រាជ្ញមួយចំនួនទទួលស្គាល់ដូចៗគ្នាថាការមានចេតនាក្នុងការបំផ្លាញជាតិ សាសន៍ មួយវាគ្រប់គ្រាន់ហើយឱ្យទៅជាអំពើប្រល័យពូជសាសន៍។ សកម្មភាពដែលមានគោលបំណងមិនគ្រប់ទាំងអស់ ប៉ុន្ដែគ្រាន់តែជាផ្នែកខាង ក្រៅការពារដែលធ្លាក់នៅក្រោមគ្រោងការណ៍នៃមាត្រាទី២។
