The evacuees were forced to abandon their cards and take to the road on food. They were told that the government wanted to eleminate private motorized transport to cut down on the consumption of petroleum.
អ្នកជម្លៀសត្រូវបានបង្ខំឱ្យបោះបង់ចោលរថយន្ដរបស់ពួកគេ ហើយធ្វើដំណើរដោយថ្មើរជើង។ ពួកគេត្រូវបានប្រាប់ថារដ្ឋាភិបាលចង់លុចបំបាត់មធ្យោបាយធ្វើដំណើរដោយយានយន្ដឯកជន ដើម្បីកាត់បន្ថយការប្រើប្រាស់បេ្រង។
