Britain had told Cambodia that it would not appoint an ambassador to that country because of Cambodia human-right violation. Jeremy Thorpe, foreign affairs spokemen for the Liberal Party, said events in Cambodia were as serious as Stalin's repression of the Kulaks and Hitler's liquidation of the Jews.
អង់គេ្លសបានប្រកាសប្រាប់ទៅកម"ុជាថាខ្លួននឹងមិនធ្វើការតែងតាំងឯកអគ្គរាជទូតប្រចាំប្រទេសកម"ុជាឡើយដោយសារតែការំលោភបំពានសិទ្ធិមនុស្សនៅក្នុងប្រទេសនេះ។ ចេរមី ថប ដែលជាអ្នកនាំពាក្យកាបរទេសរបស់គណបក្សសេរីនិយម បានមានប្រសាសន៍ថាព្រឹតÒិការណ៍នៅកម"ុជាគឺធ្ងន់ធ្ងរដូចនឹងការបង្ក្រាបរបស់ សÒាលីននៅលើពួកគូលាកស៍ ហើយនឹងការសម្លាប់ជនជាតិជ្វីសដ៏ឃោរឃៅរបស់ហ៊ីត្លែ។
