Khieu Samphan announced at the end of official visit that China had granted unconditional aid to Cambodia. They were scheduled to fly from Peking to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, talk to Prince Sihanouk. There were reports that Sihanouk was not satisfied with the term the new rulers wanted him to return. He was invited to bring only his wife, Princess Monique, and Penn Nouth, the nominal Prime Minister.
ខៀវ សំផន បានប្រកាសនៅពេលបព្ចាប់នូវការទស្សនៈកិច្ចជាផ្លូវការនេះថា ចិនបានព្រមជួយស្រោចស្រង់កម្ពុជាដោយគ្មានលក្ខខ័ណ្ឌ។ ខៀវ សំផន និង ចិនបានរៀបចំការវិភាគក្នុងការហោះហើរពីប៉េកាំងទៅព្យុងយ៉ាងដែលជាទីក្រុងនៃកូរ៉េខាងជើងហើយនិយាយជាមួយសីហនុ។ របាយការណ៍ជាច្រើនបានថាសីហនុគ្មានការពេញចិត្ដជាមួយនឹងអ្នកបព្ជាក់ដែលចង់ឱ្យគាត់វិលចូលស្រុកវិញទេ។ សីហនុអាចនាំប្រពន្ធគាត់តែម្នាក់គត់ ព្រះក្សត្រី មុនីនិច និង ប៊ិន ណូតដែលជាងារដ្ឋមន្ដ្រី។
