Khmer Rouge took Cambodia in 17 April 1975. People and monks in cities were evacuated to the countryside. Monks from cities had to stay in Wats in countryside and the Khmer Rouge ordered the people not to offer food to monks. Khmer Rouge began to disrobe monks since April-May 1975.
ខ្មែរក្រហមចូលកាន់កាប់កម្ពុជានៅថ្ងៃទី១៧ មេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥។ ប្រជាជន និង ព្រះសង្ឃត្រូវតែស្នាក់នៅក្នុងវត្ដ អារាមនៅជនបទ ហើយខ្មែរក្រហម បាន បញ្ជាឱ្យប្រជាជនកុំប្រគេនអាហារដល់ព្រះសង្ឃ។ ខ្មែរក្រហមបានចាប់ផ្ដើម ផ្សឹក ព្រះសង្ឃចាប់តាំងពីខែមេសា-ឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥។
