Khmer Rouge had begun firing motar rounds at the Klong Luek police command post. Then, the Thais replied 105mm artillary back. A Khmer Rouge unit estimated about 200 to 300 men attacked Ban Sao village, the police stattion nearby.
ខ្មែរក្រហមបានប្រើប្រាស់កំាភ្លើងម័រជេ(កាំភ្លើងផ្លោង) ដែលស្ថិតនៅទីតាំងប៉ុស្ដប៉ូលីសនៅក្នុងរលក។ បន្ទាប់មកថៃក៏បានតបតរទៅវិញដោយបាញ់ដោយបាញ់ក្នុងចម្ងាយ១០៥មីលីម៉ែត្រ។ ខ្មែរក្រហមមួយក្រុមដែលមានគ្នាប្រមាណពី២០០ទៅ៣០០នាក់ បានវាយប្រហារទៅលើភូមិបាន សោរ ដែលមានស្ថានីយប៉ុស្ដប៉ូលីសនៅក្បែរនោះ។
