After the general election in Cambodia, the constitutional Assembly would adapt a constitution for Cambodia. This constitution would be based on liberal democratic principle. One of the main issues this constitution would have to resolve was the issue of independence of the judiciary.
ក្រោយពីការបោះឆ្នោតទូទៅនៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា សភាធម្មនុញ្ញាបាន អនុម័តទៅតាមច្បាប់រដ្ឋធម្មនុញ្ញនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ ច្បាប់រដ្ឋធម្មនុញ្ញគឺ គួរតែផ្ដោតទៅ លើគោលការណ៍ប្រជាធិបតេយ្យសេរីនិយម។ បញ្ហាចម្បង នៃរដ្ឋធម្មនុញ្ញគឺ អាចមានការសមេ្រចចិត្ដទៅលើឯករាជ្យភាពនៃប្រព័ន្ធ យុត្ដាធិការ។
