In the last two months more than 100,000 Cambodians were displaced by increased Khmer Rouge activity. Another 23,000 fled to camps in Thailand. Recent Khmer Rouge activities included: increased mining of bridges and roads, abductions of men from their villages, destruction of personal property, etc.
នៅក្នុងរយៈពេល២ខែចុងក្រោយនេះចំនួនប្រជាជនកម្ពុជាប្រមាណជាងមួយ សែននាក់មានការថយចុះដោយសារតែកំណើតនៃសកម្មភាពរបស់ខ្មែរក្រហម។ ប្រជាជនចំនួន ២៣០០០ នាក់ទៀត ត្រូវបានជម្លៀសទៅកាន់ជំរំ នៅក្នុងប្រទេសថៃ។ សកម្មភាពជាច្រើនរបស់ខ្មែរក្រហមរួមមាន បង្កើន ការដាក់គ្រាប់មីននៅតាមស្ពាន និងផ្លូវថ្នល់ជាច្រើន ការចាប់បុរសៗ ចេញ ពីភូមិការបំផ្លិចបំផ្លាញទ្រពសម្បតិ្ដឯកជននិងសកម្មភាពដ៏ទៃទៀត។
