In February 1992, the Advanced Electoral planning Unit began a six-month study to collect demographic data on Cambodia. It was calculated that some 8.8 million people reside in Cambodia and that approximately half would be eligible to vote.
នៅក្នុងខែកុម្ភៈ ១៩៩២ អង្គភាពរៀបចំផែនការនៃការបោះឆ្នោត កម្រតិខ្ពស់បានចាប់ផ្ដើមសិក្សានិងប្រមូលទិន្និន័យប្រវតិ្ដសាស្ដ្រប្រទេសកម្ពុជាអស់រយៈ ពេល៦ខែ ។ វាត្រូវបានគេគណនាថាប្រហែលប្រជាជន ៨,៨ លាននាក់បានរស់នៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងប្រមាណជាពាក់ កណ្ដាលដែលមានសិទិ្ធបោះឆ្នោត។
