In 6 of 7 camps which grouped together 325,804 people, they did not have the status of refugees and, therefore, did not enjoy protections guaranteed by this status. Only camp of Khao I Dang counted 15,236 people who benefited from this status and were under the protection of UNHCR.
នៅក្នុងជំរំ៦ជំរំនៃជំរំទាំង៧ដែលដាក់ចំនួនប្រជាជនចូលគ្នាទាំងអស់ ៣២៥ ៨០៤នាក់គេមិនមានចែកឋានៈជាជនភៀសខ្លួនអ្វីទេ ហេតុដូចេ្នះហើយគេក៏ មិនទទួលបាននូវការការពារដែលធានាដោយស្ថានភាពនេះទេ។ មានតែជំរំ នៅខាងអ៊ីដាងតែមួយគត់ដែលរាប់ចំនួនប្រជាជនជាង១៥២៣៦ ដែលទទួល បានផលប្រយោជន៍ពីស្ថានភាពនេះហើយក៏ ស្ថិតនៅក្រោមការពារឧត្ដម ស្នងការអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិទទួលបន្ទុកជនភៀសខ្លួន។
