In 1976, Poeun was indoctrinated to work as traitor by Pang. Pang assigned Poeun to carry out traitorous activities such as interrupting voice recording devices and shooting the cadre when they arrive school's gate for meeting. Poeun and some other traitors had prepared force to assassinate the guests when the clash began, Poeun has diverted attention from the situation by staying with his family at Orussey Market.
ពឿន ក្បត់នៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៦ តាមរយៈ ប៉ង់។ ប៉ង់ បានដាក់ផែន ការក្បត់អោយ ពឿន ធ្វើសកម្មភាពដូចជា ធ្វើអោយរអាក់រអួល គ្រឿងថតសំលេង ចាំបាញ់កម្មាភិបាលពេលចូលដល់មាត់ទ្វារសាលា ពេលធ្វើមេទិញ។ ពឿន និង បក្សពួកក្បត់មួយចំនួនទៀតបានរៀប ចំកំលាំងសំលាប់ភ្ញៀវ។ ដល់ពេលផ្ទុះអាវុធ ពឿន ក៏បានបង្វែងដាន ធ្វើជាទៅដេកជាមួយគ្រួសារនៅផ្សារអូឬស្សីទៅវិញ។
