Chuop Chamroeun is PTSD victim. He got married to Aut Sokhon in 1973. His wife had already died. He has two children, but one died in 1980s. His father called Duk Tauch. His mother called Chhun Chin. In the Khmer Rouge regime he was lacking of food, medical care, and shelter. He used to be brainwashed. He was forced isolate from others. He was close to death. He was forced separated from his family members. He experieced unnatural death of family and friend. He was once time that his life was in danger. He used to drown when he was young. He used to suffocate in the Khmer Rouge regime. He was beaten on the head in 1970. Recently, he is unable to feel emotions. He find it is difficult in concentrating. He tries to avoid activities that remind him of the traumatic events. He cannot remember parts of the most traumatic events. He is avoiding thoughts associated with the traumatic experience. He is sudden emotional when reminded of the most hurtful events. He blames himself for things that have happened. He feels as if he is going crazy. He find out that he has done something that he cannot remember. He feels as if he split into two people and one of him is watching and the other is doing.
