John Nides expressed his concern through his letter that political prisoners being held by Hun Sen's Government without charge or trial or after unfair political trials may be forgotten when International attention shifted to the problems of implementing a peace accord and rebuilding the country.
ចន នីស បានបង្ហាញពីការព្រួយបារម្ភតាមរយៈសំបុត្រដែលបានសរសេរថា អ្នកទេសនយោបាយដែលត្រូវបានដោយរដ្ឋាភិបាល ហ៊ុន សែន ដោយគ្មាន ការចោទប្រកាន់ រឺកាត់ទោស រឺ ក្រោយីការកាត់ទោសអតិយុត្ដធម៌ខាង នយោបាយ ប្រហែលត្រូវបានបំភេ្លចចោលនៅពេលដែលវត្ដមានអន្ដរជាតិ ត្រូវបានផ្លាស់ប្ដូរទៅជាបញ្ហានៃប្រតិបតិ្ដការណ៍កិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងសន្ដិភាពនិង ការតែតម្រូវប្រទេសឡើងវិញ។
