Every day refugees from the new order in Cambodia trucked across the frontier into Thailand. The Cambodia they described was a harsh, joyless land of unbending discipline in which all bourgeois life had been destroyed.
ជារៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃជនភៀសខ្លូនមកពីកម្ពុជា បានជិះតាមរថយន្ដឆ្លងកាត់ព្រំដែនចូលក្នុងទឹកដីថៃ។ ពួកគេបានរៀបរាប់ថា វាជាទឹកដីនៃភាពអាក្រក់ និងឃោរឃៅនៃជីវិតដែលបានកមេ្ទចចោល។
