From the time of the Coup in 1970, all the conditions demographic and socio-economic development in Kampuchea were thoroughly disrupted. 1970-1980 were a period of serious decline, war, revolution and the Vietnamese invasion all affected the size, dynamism and character of Kampuchean population.
ចាប់តាំងពីរដ្ឋប្រហារនៅក្នុង១៩៧០មក ស្ថានភាពអត្រានុកូល និងការភិវឌ្ឍ ផ្នែកសង្គមសេដ្ឋកិច្ចនៅក្នុងកម្ពុជាមានការបង្អាក់យ៉ាងធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៨០ គឺជាពេលដែលមានការថយ ចុះយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ដោយសារ ឥទ្ធិពល ទៅលើខ្នាត ថាមពល និងលក្ខណៈនៃចំនួនប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា។
