Since 1975, the Khmer Rouge had sealed off Cambodia from the world and decimated its citizens through starvation and slaughter. The ignorant had become an honorable and inviolable class.
ចាប់តាំងពីឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ ខ្មែរក្រហមបានបិទបាំងប្រទេសកម្ពុជាចេញពីពិភពលោក និង បានសម្លាប់ប្រជាជនខ្លួនឯងតាមរយៈការអត់អាហារ (ស្រែកឃ្លាន) និង ការសម្លាប់។ ភាពល្ងង់អវិជ្ជាបានក្លាយជាថ្នាក់កិត្ដិយស និង មិនអាចរំលោភបំពានបាន។
