1975 was the year of victory of the communist insurgents. President Ford and his Secretary Kissinger argued that the US must aid the Cambodians while many members of congress and the American public disagreed.
១៩៧៥គឺ ជាឆ្នាំដែលបដិវត្ដន៍កុម្មនិស្ដទទួលបានជ័យជម្នះ។ ប្រធានាអធិបតេយ្យ ហ្វ៊ត់ និង ជំនួយការរបស់លោកឃីង ស៊ីង ហ្គឺ បានប្រកែកថា«សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកត្រូវតែសង្គ្រោះកម្ពុជា នៅពេលដែលចំនួននៃជនភៀសខ្លួនជាច្រើន និង នៅពេលសាធារណៈរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមានការទំនាស់»។
