Cambodia appeared to want better relations with Thailand as it began to shake off its intense isolation in search of a more outgoing foreign policy. Cambodia was the only Indochinese country to congratulate Thailand on establishing relation with China.
ប្រទេសកម្ពុជា បានបង្ហាញពីគោលជំហរ ដើម្បីចង់ឱ្យមានទំនាក់ទំនងល្អជាងមុនជាមួយនឹងប្រទេសថៃ ដូចដែលវាបានចាប់ផ្ដើមដើម្បីស្វែងរកគោលនយោបាយបរទេសមកបន្ថែម។ ប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ជាប្រទេសក្នុងចំណោមឥណ្ឌូចិនតែមួយគត់ ក្នុងការអប់អរសាទរប្រទេសថៃមានទំនាក់ទំនងជាមួយប្រទេសចិន។
