The people of Cambodia suffered terribly under the despotic regime of the Khmer Rouge and subsequently during the occupation by the Socialist republic of Vietnam. Where the Vietnamese-installed government of the People's Republic of Kampuchea had seriously abused the human rights.
ប្រជានកម្ពុជាបានរងការឈឺចាប់យ៉ាងព្រៃផ្សៃនៅក្រោមរបបផ្ដាច់ការបបខ្មែរក្រហម ហើយបន្ទាប់មកទៀត នៅក្រោមការគ្រប់គ្រងសាធារណរដ្ឋសង្គមនិយមវៀតណាម ដែលរដ្ឋាភិបាលដែលបង្កើតឡើយដោយវៀតណាមគឺសាធារណរដ្ឋប្រជាមានិត្យកម្ពុជាបានធ្វើការរំលោភបំពានសិទ្ធិមនុស្សយ៉ាងធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ។
