Battambang had a higher standard of living than most provinces in Cambodia. But the province was the scene of recent political violence and cease-fire violations. For the election, the election sites were far away from people's residents.
បាត់ដំបងជាខេត្ដមួយដែលស្ថានភាពរបស់ប្រជាជនក្រកបដោយស្ដង់ដារខ្ពស់ ជាងខេត្ដដ៏ទៃទៀតនៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ ទន្ទឹមនឹងនេះទៅទៀត ខេត្ដនេះ ក៏ជាខេត្ដដែលទើបតែស្គាល់នូវរសជាតិនៃអំពើហិង្សាខាងផ្នែកនយោបាយ និងអំពើហិង្សាដោយបទឈប់បាញ់។ រីឯការបោះឆ្នោតវិញគឺថាមណ្ឌល បោះឆ្នោតជាច្រើនមានភាពឆ្ងាយពីទីលំនៅរបស់ប្រជាជនពលរដ្ឋនៅក្នុង ខេត្ដនោះ។
