Mok was among those who attended (BK, HPP, p. 328) ~ In 1972, Mok called a meeting of over 3,000 monks in Kampong Chhnang, in order to persuade them to defrock and join the military ("the first known example of such a CPK policy")(BK, HPP, p. 346) ~ According to a subdistrict cadre in Kampong Speu, Mok rounded up hundreds of dissidents 'from all over the South-West in 1973; they were allegedly forced to perform hard labor (BK, HPP, p. 357) ~ In 1973, "the Mok-Thuch Rin tendency," closely allied with the CPK Center, "established its supremecy over Prasith, Chou Chet and their more moderate colleagues." Fighting between Chet and Mok's followers began (BK, HPP, p. 375) ~ a Yuvakok member said, "Mok was cruel ever since 1971-1972... The killings began in 1973, as the bombs were falling. Also, some prisoners of war were executed, and others put in re-education centers... The killings were in accordance with regulations... I know for sure, from friends who worked directly with Mok, that he was the one who ordered the killings. They took place in the forest" (BK, HPP, p. 376) ~ "A CPK subdistrict cadre in the area [of Oudong]affirms that the orders to evacuate the town [Oudong's]population came directly from Mok" (BK, HPP, p. 384) ~ met Pol Pot at Wat Unnalom during the 1960s (BK, PPR, p. 87) ~ addressed meeting at Prey Nop concerning eliminating all pro-Vietnamese influence in the government, 19770417 ;notes: Mok said, "We must drive all the pro-Vietnamese from the revolutionary ranks" (BK, PPR, p. 244)
