The names are set out neathy on broad ledger sheets: Hin Praeung previously fished in the enemy zone. Chhit Chhunly previously a teacher. Leak Hit- a final-class student. These are not just the idle observations of Khmer Rouge officialdom. They are the reasons the three were executed, names from a bloodbath second only to the Nazis' assembly-line massacre of 6 million jews in world war II.
