Hok chin Leng served communist movement, and he was a soldier in Company ៈ61, battalion ៈ260, in heavy unit which at was positioned at region 25 special zone military. He defected to military authority in battalion ៈ484, Infantry unit ៈ28 at Peareang on July 10, 1974.
ហុក ជិនឡេង បំរើឱ្យចលនាកុម្មុយនិស្ដក្នុងឋានៈជាយុទ្ធជន កុ្នងកងអនុសេនាធំលេខ ៦១ នៃកងវរៈលេខ ២៦០ ជាកងកាំភើ្លងធំ ប្រចាំតំបន់ ២៥ យោធភូមិភាគពិសេស។ បានចូលសារភាពជាមួយ អាជ្ញាធយោធាវរសេនាតូចលេខ ៤៨៤ នៃកងថ្មើរជើងលេខ ២៨ នៅពារាំងកាលពីថ្ងៃទី១០ កក្កដា ១៩៧៤។
