Main Crime Details :
Execution:

In approximately 1977, while serving as a soldier, I traveled home. Passing the 6 January Dam, I witnessed the 17 April people and Chams being led away. Sometimes, there were four people consisting of the arrested persons and those escorting them. I did not know the victims or the people who were leading them away. However, I was aware that the arrested were the 17 April people and the Chams. I learned from my fellow villagers that the arrested were Chams.

The executioners probably received their orders from Chan, the male regional chief, and Sorn, the male chief of Traing Krasaing District. Later, Pauk became the regional chief. These three people lived in Ta Phak Region, Pralaing Commune, Baray District, Kampong Thom Province. They arrested and killed those people because they were accused of being feudalists, crop growers, and capitalists. They beat the victims to keep them walking. I am not certain how those people were killed. Under the Khmer Rouge regime, people feared that they were being spied upon and were in danger.
Other Crime :
Moral offense:

Prior to 1979, I saw Lach Nah, a male aged about 30, and Hou Voeun, a female about 27 years of age. They were both base people who lived in Thlaung Village, Tipou Commune. When it was discovered that these two had committed a moral offense, they were arrested and punished by being forced to carry earth without taking a rest. While other people took a rest, these two, who had committed a moral offense, worked until they finished the assigned task. If the two could not finish the assigned task, they would be killed because they had committed a moral offense. Say, the mobile unit chief, a male aged 50, punished the two of them. The two of them could not talk to each other because they were being spied upon by the Khmer Rouge. Eight months later, the Khmer Rouge agreed to arrange a marriage for the two of them.

Forced marriage:

My wife and I were forced to get married in 1977. The incident took place at Kbal Chy Village, Tipou Commune, Santuk District, Kampong Thom Province. Kien Te, a female aged about 45 and the chief of a mobile unit, arranged for us to be married and used offensive words. Assigning people to get married helped the chiefs to get promoted because they were accomplishing their plan. In each wedding, five couples were married at the same time. The Khmer Rouge said that every comrade had to get married, according to the arrangement made for them. If we denied the plan, they would secretly kill us. Therefore, no one dared deny the arrangement.
